Selling supplements at your gym, the right way
A supplement counter can add real income to a gym, but only if stock is tracked by batch and expiry, every sale has a proper bill, and you buy from authorised suppliers. Start with a few products members already ask for, sell the oldest batch first, and watch what doesn't sell before ordering more.

Buy right
- Buy from authorised distributors and keep their invoices
- Check batch numbers, manufacturing and expiry dates on delivery
- Start small: a few best-selling proteins, creatine and pre-workouts
Track batches and expiry
Record each batch with its expiry date and sell the batch that expires first. Check every month for stock expiring in the next 30 days and move it — or stop ordering it.
Bill every sale
Give a bill with the product, HSN code, GST and total for every sale. Each product has its own GST rate — check the current rate with your supplier or accountant.
Let members order from the app
Members who buy regularly will happily order from their phone and pick up at the desk — less queue, more repeat sales.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a licence to sell supplements at my gym?
Requirements depend on what you sell and your state; food business registration (FSSAI) is commonly needed for selling food products. Check with a local adviser.
How do I avoid expired stock?
Track every batch's expiry date, sell first-expiry-first-out, and review items expiring in the next 30 days each month.
Can HextaGym bill supplements with GST?
Yes. Each product has its own HSN code and GST rate, and every desk sale prints a GST bill.
